WILL PRINCE PLAY AT BRIT AWARDS?

02/14/2006
Prince hasn't decided whether he will play the Brit Awards tomorrow night (15.02.06).

Organizers have been forced to leave a space on the running order in case the '80s pop superstar does turn up and wants to perform.

If he shows, it will the "Purple Rain" singer's first live UK performance in almost a decade.

Prince - who flew into the UK yesterday (13.02.06) - has also kept hotel bosses guessing by reserving suites at several locations around London.

An insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Prince had rooms booked at The Metropolitan Hotel, The Royal Garden in Kensington and The Dorchester."

"He had a greeting party waiting at the Royal Garden in Kensington at 3.30pm - the hotel pulled out all the stops."

The source added: "He planned to sweep into a car park and wait there until the paparazzi had gone away. But there were no photographers waiting at all."

"He then got cold feet and made a last minute decision to go to The Dorchester."

Prince - who worked under the names Symbol and TAFKAP, The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, during the 90's - last had a hit with the re-issue of "1999" in 1999.
