Discovering her interest lay with singing, Jewel attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, majoring in operatic voice. She also fronted the covers of major magazines such as Time, Rolling Stone (twice), Vogue, Interview, Entertainment Weekly, People, and Details.
