Biography of Angus MacFadyen

Angus MacFadyen was born 1963. He was brought up in France and Denmark, before returning to Edinburgh to read French and English at University. MacFadyen's acting career began with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He went on to study drama in London.

He came to notice in the TV drama Soldier, Soldier (1992), he also acted in The Brylcreem Boys (1997). His first, and most notable file role was as Robert the Bruce in Mel Gibson's pseudo historical drama on the life of William Wallace Braveheart (1995).

This has been followed by Cradle Will Rock (1999) and Titus (1999), in which MacFadyen starred alongside fellow Scot Alan Cumming.
